With over $35tn of global assets under management now incorporating sustainability factors, the need for investors and corporates to integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into their decision making and investments is critically important.
Within the Berenberg equity research department, we have an established ESG research team which helps embed ESG analysis into our core equity research product. We have developed proprietary frameworks to identify and measure companies providing positive environmental, social and economic impact as well as sector based reports looking at key operational ESG factors. The knowledge developed is also used across other Berenberg Investment Banking departments to help inform corporates of how to develop and communicate their sustainability strategy and is also an important resource for potential IPO candidates.
